Unit 2 Explore organisations and how they adapt to changes in technology

This unit introduces organisations and their formation and consideration is given as to why businesses start. The candidates will carry out a study on an organisation and investigate the impact that technology has had on its environment and also consider future scenarios.

What the candidate must do:

2.1.1 In a group, carry out a brainstorm activity to determine why you think organisations are formed
2.1.2 Discuss and record the ideas from the brainstorm
2.1.3 Identify 3 examples of organisations and give their reasons for formation
2.1.4 Select and research a local organisation
2.1.5 Explore how the chosen organisation has changed in the last 20 years through the impact of technology
2.1.6 Describe 3 ways in which you think technology may impact on the chosen organisation in the next 20 years
